Something to ‘Doat’ Upon….

Yesterday evening I was greeted by a handsome face along with this beautiful surprise:

Flowers like these deserve my best vase, or as I like to pronounce it “Vawze”: sophisticated, right?

Dinner was very delicious, especially accompanied by a bottle of this:

And this…

Consumed in my favorite wine glass –

Needless to say, I was mildly hungover this morning, so I needed a hamburger hangover helper breakfast.

Steal cut oats made with: 1/2 mashed banana, 1 cup almond milk, 1tbs chia seeds, and some cinnamon.

Topped with fresh strawberries and chocolate protein drizzle (1/2 scoop protein powder, 1 tbs cacao powder, and H to the 2 to the O)

What’s a hangover helpin’ breakfast without some chlorophyll infused water!

So why is chlorophyll so great?

Here are the health benefits of chlorophyll:

  • Anti Carcinogenic
  • Antioxidant & Anti-inflammatory
  • Chelation of Heavy Metals  (definitely had to look up the meaning of chelation. Not a word I use on a daily basis…or ever for that matter.)
  • Antiseptic
  • Treats Bad Breath
  • Rapid Delivery of Magnesium
  • Contains vitamin K, C, folic acid, iron, calcium, protein

Pretty incredible, eh?

Who else drinks chlorophyll? What are your hangover breakfasts? I wanna know!

Happy Thursday 🙂

OOH! La! La! Nice! Well, my hangover breakfast is a lot of fruits like orange, pineapple, grapefruits and then good old eggs and toasts….and of course, 2 cups of coffee.

I just discovered that if you click on the bottle of wine a site comes up explaining all about that very wine….Nice.

Wow Ellie! I need you to come cook for me…seriously! That oatmeal looks great and perfect for a morning after drinking. My favorite hangover breakfast would have to consist of two eggs over easy on top of a whole wheat english muffin drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Gotta have that protein fix!

  4. Your flowers are beautiful! How sweet he got you those, I love getting flowers just because!

Loving the oat combo! Oats are something I eat practically every day 😉

    Happy weekend!!

  5. I drink chlorophyll… it is great 🙂 I put it in my smoothies too. Speaking of which, a super food boosted green smoothie makes for a pretty refreshing hangover cure.

  6. I used to drink chlorophyll too! But I moved out the family place. I should definitely buy some when I get the chance.
Otherwise my favorite hangover breakfast is a simple poached egg on a toast! (I’m in love with poached eggs anyway…) With super fruity smoothie on the side, if available. Eheh.
